Who are you? – The Kingdom of God is within you.

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said,“The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”                                          – Luke 17:20-21

Over winter break I got a prophetic word that said “You’re blossoming” and oh how accurate that has been, though I’m still not exactly sure what all that means. So let me ask you, who are you? You’re a child of God, a son or a daughter, now that we’re past that. Who are you? Don’t get me wrong you’re identity is found within that, you can’t find out what you love to do without searching in that category of a child of God, because ultimately that leads you to identifying Him as a Father which unlocks a whole different facet of the redemption. The Father has really been taking me through this season of who I am, but not on the terms of identity, on the terms of expression. Meaning what exactly has he placed inside of me? In a sense it’s like the Father wants us to play treasure hunt with his heart, but in  the same way he plays treasure hunt with ours.

  1. This is beautiful. There is no need for the millions of different churches in this world, as God lives within our hearts. We are called to clean up our hearts, that’s all. To love, forgive, and act in kindness, rather than fear-driven. Most of the people in this world are just not ready to give up their need to control. It’s horrible and upsets me tremendously, but I’ve met so many wonderful people who truly care and love me. In a life filled with abandonment and bullying, I’d say that God is firmly in my life and helping me.

    • That’s great! God needs to dwell within you, though being connected to a church body is key to growing as a Christian. I can say with all confidence that I would not be where I am today without my church family. Not all churches are controlling you need to find one that is biblical that is truly after the heart of the Father and you’ll be fine. It’s difficult, because the church isn’t perfect, because we are all humans who make mistakes but God works so much through his people is too amazing to miss out on. And my family has kept me from false theology and beliefs countless of times. It’s so great you feel God dwelling in your midst, that’s super important don’t get me wrong, but you have to have a body of believers backing you up as well, where are you from?

      • Yeah I agree that is very hard. But do you have Christians in your community that you could be in relationship with? Because remember the church isn’t a building or great sermons you know? it’s doing relationship, doing family with people who are in the same Kingdom as you.

      • Not really, because my partner has said to me, “I don’t know how you’ve managed to get to this stage in your life”. I think he’s referring to God is with me. I’m very spiritually minded and have been for a long time. I see the injustice everywhere in this world, and I experience depression. That’s why I blog of my feelings, as I can’t get it out anywhere else. Nobody seems to understand where I’m at.

      • Hows your relationship with Jesus, like the living Man Jesus? Because Jesus takes away the depression you know? He doesn’t want you to suffer from it, it awesome that you’ve found some kind of an outlet, but because He’s died and risen he left all of that in the grave, so you’re now free from it. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are love joy peace kindness self control etc. depression isn’t one of them, they’re from the kingdom of Satan so therefore they have no place in you because you belong to God.
